Biography
Lori graduated from Mississippi College School of Law in 1998. While in law school, she was an Associate Justice on the school's Honor Court and a member of the Moot Court team. Lori is a member of the State Bar of Georgia. She is admitted to practice in all Georgia state trial courts, the Georgia Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Since graduation, she has worked tirelessly as a lawyer and mother. She started her legal career as the Staff Attorney for the Honorable Linda Warren Hunter in DeKalb County Superior Court. As the Superior Court is the highest trial court in Georgia, she assisted Judge Hunter on cases ranging from domestic relations to felonies. In 2001, she joined the Decatur firm of Wilson, Morton & Downs, LLC as an associate. During her tenure there she focused on complex civil and domestic litigation. In addition to her experience in the areas of domestic and civil litigation, Lori has now turned her focus to assisting those charged with crimes.
In 2006, when Lori and Matt welcomed their second child, she became an inactive member of the Georgia Bar choosing to turn her focus to supporting her family at home and helping Matt grow his criminal defense law practice. As the Office Manager for Matthew D. Crosby, PC, Lori oversaw the day to day operations of the firm. To keep current on the law while she was inactive, Lori researched and wrote legal briefs with Matt. She also directed and assisted in the renovation of the building which now houses Crosby Law.
Both kids attend the Gwinnett County Public Schools and Lori still volunteers regularly. She also enjoys playing tennis, traveling and spending time with her family.
