Mr. Crosby honed his trial skills serving as an Assistant District Attorney for years in the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office prosecuting felonies. As a prosecutor, Mr. Crosby successfully tried and convicted individuals charged with murder, rape, kidnapping, child molestation, armed robbery, drug trafficking, vehicular homicide, aggravated assault, forgery, theft among other charges. Before prosecuting Matt worked with his father, Attorney David Crosby in Atlanta where he not only defended those charged with crimes, he also handled complex civil litigation issues for corporate, as well as individual clients.
Attorney Matt Crosby has devoted his law practice to the courtroom and trial work focusing on the area of criminal defense. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the United States District Court – Northern District, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Gwinnett County Bar Association and the Gwinnett County Bar Association – Criminal Defense Section.

Lead Counsel In More Than Two Thousand Felony Criminal Cases
During his career, Mr. Crosby has had extensive litigation experience, appearing as lead counsel in well over two thousand felony criminal cases. He has tried over 150 jury and bench trials. Mr. Crosby has a significant amount of appellate experience as well, handling and successfully arguing cases in front of both the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court. Mr. Crosby also served as an Assistant City Solicitor in the City of Suwanee, GA prosecuting misdemeanors such as DUI’s. Mr. Crosby has taught law and courtroom demeanor to a number of police academy classes and has also served as a guest instructor to certified police officers at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, Georgia.
Mr. Crosby graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wake Forest University in 1993. He was a Football Varsity Letterman and attended college on a full athletic scholarship. He was a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll and received the Academic Excellence Award his senior year. Mr. Crosby was also a member of the Psi Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity while at Wake Forest. He received his Juris Doctor in 1998 from Mississippi College School of Law where he was elected as a Senator in the Student Bar Association and served as Marshal in the legal fraternity of Phi Alpha Delta. He also attended Georgia State University College of Law as a Guest Student in Spring of 1998.
Mr. Crosby is married with two children. He and his family live in Snellville, GA and attend Grace Fellowship Church. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, watching college football, and exercising.
